Before buying the headlamp first, we need to choose which lamp color we should go for. We need to know that different color light is used for various purposes. Here are some features you need to keep in mind :

  • If your headlamp has the white light, then it would be great to do the camping through the wooded area and do your hunting in the evening time. But they are not used for spotting or stalking game because of the brightness of the light.
  • Headlamp with white and red light will help you in spotting and stalking game. Also, you can use the headlamp in wooden and in your camping time. You can use this headlamp while hunting because the red light will not scare the animal, and you can approach them carefully. In short, you can choose this color for different purposes.
  • With white light, red light, and green light are the best combination for your headlamp. Why do you need these three lights? White light for vision, red light for gaming, and green light for reading the maps. In short, these are fantastic for hunting.

Some cautions while using the headlamp

  • Don’t share your headlamp with your friends

It would be risky if you lend headlamp with your friends. They will use this headlamp on their head, and it will stretch out the headband, and you have to end up by buying another brand for your headlamp.

So it is better before lending your headlamp you need to ask your friends softly that they should use the headlamp with their hand but not using it in over their head.

You need to be extra careful in your hunting, so you should carry extra batteries with you always. Though these headlamps have low chances to run out of battery life. But accidents may happen at any time, so it is best still be prepared for that time.

  • You need to have scent control

If you have sweaty skin or in summer for the sweat from your skin can get trapped in the fabric of the headband of your headlamp. So, the strap of your headband usually carries your odor, so it would be better if you use your best scent in your hair, skin.

  • Carry extra headlamp
